ITINERARY:
 

Day 1
International flight to Peru        
Take your flight to Peru. Upon arrival to Lima, reception and check into the hotel located near the airport. Rest and prepare for tomorrow. Welcome to Peru!

Day 2
Lima - Cuzco - Sacred Valley (B, L)                        
After breakfast, walk back to the terminal for your short flight to Cuzco. Reception by your driver, and enjoy a scenic drive to your hotel in the Sacred Valley. Our first day is dedicated to acclimating easier, with light touring and experiences. 

En route to the hotel, we will have a visit to Maras & Moray, with lunch 
Located Northwest of Cusco, we will visit the huge circular and semicircular agricultural terraces near Moray, built inside natural holes on a limestone plateau facing Urubamba Valley, and used as a botanical lab by the Incas. A cosmopolitan meaning has been suggested, but its function, besides de agricultural one, remains a mystery. Nearby, after that you will enjoy a panoramic view of Maras, where we find the salt mines on old terraces and lagoons. 
 
Lunch will be served at Iskay Maras Home. Check into our hotel and rest.

Day 3
Sacred Valley (B, L)
After breakfast, enjoy a guided adventure in the Sacred valley, visiting the Piuray Lake and Misminay Community. First, enjoy the majestic Piuray Lake and its surroundings through the various water activities that we offer:

Stand Up Paddle - We have very safe, stable and easy-to-use boards. The SUP tour offers the possibility to enjoy the beautiful surroundings in a safe and relaxing way. The tours are designed for people who want to enjoy the peace and tranquility offered by the calm waters of the lagoon.
 
Or Kayak - We have sea kayaks that are very safe, stable, and easy to row. The kayak tour allows you to enjoy the environment in a very safe and relaxed way. The tours are designed for people who want to enjoy the peace and tranquility provided by the calm waters of the lagoon.
 
Hot drinks and snacks provided, before we enjoy a picnic Lunch at the lake shore.

Then we will make a visit to the village of Misminay populated by 500 families and located at an elevation of 3700 meters. From that height, you will have the most incredible view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the surrounding landscape, and snow capped mountains. The villagers will share with you their traditional Andean way of life through different activities you can engage in, like weaving demonstrations, plowing with Andean tools, etc. If you wish, you can take a hike around the area and reach the natural lookout at Moray. 
 
At the end of the day, you will return to your hotel, secure in the knowledge that you have experienced an unforgettable cultural exchange.

Day 4
Sacred Valley - Inca Trail - Machu Picchu (B, L, D)
Buffet breakfast before we transfer to the Ollantaytambo station. Along with our guide, we will board the train towards Km 104, where you will begin your trek to the magnificent ruins of Wiñay Wayna.
 
Once there, you will rest and enjoy a re-energizing box lunch, before returning to the path towards the Intipunku or Sun Gate. 
 
From there, you will have an impressive view of the citadel of Machu Picchu. Then you will board the bus that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will be installed in your selected hotel and you can rest for the rest of the afternoon. Dinner at your hotel.

Day 5
Machu Picchu - Cuzco (B, L)
Today we rise before the sun and with our guide board the bus that will take you to Machu Picchu to start your sunrise guided tour. Once inside, You will have the opportunity to climb to the top of Mount Huayna Picchu, Quechua for “Young Mountain”, on the eastern side of the Central Cordillera. The trail is steep and parts of it include several sections of stone staircases carved directly into the mountainside.

Afterwards, your guide will tell you about the history, organization and mysteries of this unique Inca citadel. At the end of the visit, we return to the village for lunch and a tour around the streets of this picturesque town. Lunch included at Café Inkaterra.
 
At the scheduled time, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo station. Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cuzco.

Day 6 
Cuzco (B, D)
Morning free to sleep in and enjoy the hotel - you’ve earned it! 

Then in the afternoon, meet your local guide to take a tour of Cusco, the imposing Imperial City, example of the harmonious coexistence between the Andean and Spanish cultures. You will start with a visit to the Main Plaza, where you will visit the Cathedral, the most important temple in the city. Then, you will continue by foot until you reach the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and cult center of the Sun God, on which the order of the Dominicans built a church, which remains standing to this day. Your tour will finish with a visit to the bohemian neighborhood of San Blas, also known as “the artists' district”, cradle of well-known folk artisans, with its narrow and winding streets and its popular art and knick-knacks shops.
 
Tonight, dinner at Map Café, located inside a local museum.  

 
Day 7
Cuzco - Rainbow Mountain (B, L, D)                           
Today we depart on our Rainbow Mountain Adventure! We begin with a morning departure from Cusco, travelling by bus through the fertile Vilcanota Valley, to the town of Checacupe, from where we start to ascend Pitumarca. Through the spectacular canyon of Japura, we arrive at the pastoral community of Osefina, where we see herding of llamas and alpacas as the main local activity. Llamas will carry part of our personal equipment. 

Little by little, we will ascend through a picturesque valley where you can see some of the highest potato crops in the world. The landscapes change drastically as we leave behind the last houses until we reach the pass of Anta (16000 ft. / 4900 mt.) With the first views of the Vilcanota mountain range. 
 
We will spend the night in the Huampococha Tambo, located near the lagoon of the same name, where they usually nest "Huallatas" (Andean geese).

Day 8
Rainbow Mountain - Cuzco (B, L, D)                            
The first rays of the sun greet you at this magical location. After enjoying a hearty Andean breakfast, we begin to hike through formations of red sandstone. As you hike you’ll witness geological wonders and admire the beauty of this unique landscape, to reach Mt. Vinicunca or “Rainbow Mountain”, renowned worldwide and one of the most spectacular vantage points of the Route and of the entire Andes Mountains. 

 
After time to rest and take in the amazing colors of the mountain, we begin the descent through the valley to Japura. On the way we’ll have our final lunch stop, before taking transportation back to Cusco.
 
Tonight, we spoil ourselves with a farewell dinner at Cicciolina.

Day 9
Cuzco - Home (B)                           
At the appropriate time, check out of the hotel and meet your transfer to the airport. Take flight to Lima, where you will connect with your flight home.
