This ultimate foodie experience in the heights of Cusco will reveal the incredible Peruvian agro-diversity to you. In Chinchero, half way between Cusco and the Sacred Valley, agricultural engineer and Producer of the Year 2018 by Summum, Manuel Choqque researches and experiments with native potatoes and tubers to produce the wildest colored varieties, also seeking to improve their nutritional composition. Your host will welcome you to his home, explain his work and present you with a sample of the over 370 varieties of potatoes he holds in his repository. You will also taste some of these with a traditional uchucuta (Peruvian hot pepper sauce) as well as some of his Andean tuber wines (made out of ocas and mashwas) and native potatoes’ distillates (vodka).
