Japan is a captivating blend of ancient traditions and modern technology. Picture bustling cities filled with bright lights alongside tranquil temples that offer peace. Pop street along with charming old wooden homes. Out of this world candy creations served alongside ancient ramen. As a family, we were excited to experience this unique contrast during our trip. And boy, did we!

It all starts with the food:
Sushi for breakfast, endless amounts of dipping noodles, and a vending machine for every heart's desire. Every kid's (and adult's) paradise! And don't get me started on the 16 buttons found on toilets.
And of course, Sated Ventures is all about getting hands on - our sushi making class inside a tiny restaurant (seats 7) was a highlight!
Then the Ancient Traditions...
Our journey took a deep dive into history as we followed sites of the Shogun era, made wishes at temples, and donned traditional kimono robes in Kyoto. Walking through the Gion district was dreamlike, with the first signs of cherry blossoms overhead. Our special tea ceremony will stay with me forever.
The experience of getting dressed in a temple by numerous Japanese grandmas bustling around with fabric and belts, and being able to share it with my daughter, was a beautiful evening.
The colors, the temples, the hot springs!
Japan is filled with wonders - from the heart stopping bullet trains, to the most relaxing natural baths under Mount Fuji. From sleeping on the tatami floor mats to hanging out with hedgehogs in a cafe. From climbing the Sky Tree in Tokyo, to rubbing elbows with Geishas on tight streets of Kyoto.
A Journey Worth Taking
Why should your family consider traveling to Japan? Endless unique experiences and something for everyone!
